Nikkah & Marriage.
A nikkah is one of the most beautiful sunnahs of our deen. The imam at Masjid Fallahee officiates marriages for community members, with optional use of our downstairs event space for the celebration.
From request to "qabool."
A nikkah at the masjid is a simple, beautiful ceremony. Here's the path from your first request to the day itself.
Submit Request
Fill out the form below with your preferred date and details. The imam will review and reach out within 2-3 days.
Pre-Marital Meeting
The imam meets with the couple — together or separately — to discuss the marriage and answer any questions.
Confirm Details
We finalize the date, time, mahr, witnesses, and whether you'll use the event space for a reception.
The Nikkah
The ceremony takes place at the masjid, witnessed by family and the community. May Allah bless your union.
What's required for a nikkah
- Both parties consent freely to the marriage
- Two adult Muslim witnesses (the masjid can help arrange)
- A wali (guardian) for the bride, or arrangement with the imam
- Agreed mahr (dowry) between the couple
- Valid civil marriage license from New Jersey (the imam can sign as officiant)
If you have specific circumstances or questions, please mention them in the form or speak with the imam directly.
Using the event space
Our downstairs event space can host up to 100 guests for a nikkah reception, walima dinner, or post-ceremony gathering. The space includes:
- Tables and chairs for up to 100
- Kitchen access for catered or family-prepared meals
- Separate areas if requested for sisters and brothers
